The first work phase of the project "Greenhouse gas emission reduction in VALPRO production hall No. 2 and production studio" has been concluded.

Within the first project phase renovation works such as exterior wall insulation in production hall No. 2 and production workshop, doors, windows and fence replacement have been done.

The overall project goal is greenhouse gas emissions reduction by improving energy efficiency. It is planned to reduce CO2 emissions by 62.04 tons per year after project implementation.

VALPRO project contribution untill 14.07.2011. constitutes 40 733.63 EUR, KPFI support compose 45% (18 330.13. EUR) of the investment mentioned above.

On May 6, 2011, certification organization „Bureau Veritas Certification” adjudged that "VALPRO" Ltd. meets the standarts and conferred new Quality management system certificate ISO 9001:2008, Environmental management system certificate ISO 14001:2004 and Occupational health and safety management system certificate OHSAS 18001:2007.

Certificates are valid until May 19, 2014.

On August 27, 2010, during a special event to welcome Top 10 leading exporters in Vidzeme region, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia Mr. Valdis Dombrovskis presented a Certificate of Recognition for contribution to the national economic growth and export development to the Chairman of the Board of “Valpro” Ltd. Mr. Aivars Flemings. 

The Minister of Economics of the Republic of Latvia Mr. Artis Kampars congratulated “Valpro” Ltd. and presented a Certificate of Appreciation to “Valpro” Ltd. for significant achievements in export sales in 2009.

On August 25, 2010, following the supervisory audit carried out by certification body “Bureau Veritas Certification”, “VALPRO” Ltd. received the new Quality management system certificate - ISO 9001:2008.
