Methods of use:
- Types of device PA1 ÷ PA12 are designed for extinguishing hard substances of organic origin (wood, paper, fabric, etc.), various kinds of explosive and dangerous fluids (petrol, oils, grease, spirits, etc.), gas and electric devices under high voltage up to 1000 V with ABC kind of powder on the initial stage of inflammation (inflammation class definitions A-B-C).
- Devices are designed for usage in the regions with a moderate to cold climate with temperature from –30C to +60C, disposing them both inside and outside ensuring protection of devices from heat and atmospheric precipitation.
- Devices must be disposed in the place within the sight and access beside flammable locations. The devices can be placed on walls vertically with a help of suspension parts available in the kit and within a hand’ s reach. Devices can be placed on the floor, in the cabinets, niches etc. When installed in a vehicle, the device can be placed horizontally using a special support.
Construction and principles of operation.
- Devices consist of a pressure-proof shell filled with a fire extinguishing powder and a launch mechanism with a rubber hose attached (PA3 ÷ PA12) or a special muzzle for powder discharge (PA1 ÷ PA2).
- Shell must be under permanent nitrogen (N2) pressure shown with a detecting pointer settling itself in the middle of the green zone on the scale. Device is considered unworkable, if the detecting pointer settles itself in the red zone on the scale (on zero section after discharge).
- Launch mechanism is launched by pushing upper handle down until full stop and keeping it in this position after launch. Please consider that the handle is blocked with a special safety ring to avoid accidental push when moving the device.
Remember to pull the ring (PA 1B; PA2A-yellow cage) before pushing the handle!
- Rubber hose is designed for effective control of powder jet when extinguishing fire. When launching the device, please hold it firmly so that the reactive power of powder jet does not pull it from the hands. The device can be launched permanently and with intervals by pushing and releasing the upper handle. The remaining pressure in the shell after disengaging the device is preserved for not less than 5 minutes.
The device must be discharged in a vertical position!
Safety rules.
- As there is a permanent (15+1) bar pressure in the shell of the device, please follow safety rules when working with the device.
- Safekeeping of the device in the premises must be in the competence of the person in charge according to “Fire safety rules” No.82.
- In case devices are used in complicated climatic conditions, exposed to vibrations or petrol vapours, the running inspection time can be short.
- The shell of device must not have deformations, dints, corrosion, damaged paint or indicator, bent handles, please make sure the hose and the safety ring (PA2A – yellow cage) in the launch mechanism are not missing. Exploitation of device is not allowed without a manual in the state language attached to the shell!
The detecting pointer must be in the green zone on the scale and the safety ring must be sealed!
- Device must be delivered to service centre for re-charge and inspection every time after it has been used.
Guaranty.
- “Valpro” Ltd. guarantees compliance of technical parameters of device to the norms and standard operation for 24 months after date of production (charge) that is printed on the cylinder of the device under condition that the above mentioned requirements of the usage of the device are executed.
- In case during the guarantee period the pressure in the shell of device has decreased (the detecting pointer settles itself in the red zone on the scale), the manufacturer undertakes to replace the device or perform a repair free of charge upon the user’s request under condition that the above mentioned requirements of the usage of device are executed.
